The Bundestag passed the reform of the property tax by a large majority on October 18, 2019. The reason was a ruling by the Federal Constitutional Court in April 2018, which declared the previously applicable regulation unconstitutional due to „serious unequal treatment“ of property owners.

A new and modern residential and commercial quarter with a total of 200 apartments, called Paseo Carré, is being built in Munich-Pasing. The City of Munich has already granted the building permit for this. Base interest rate remains unchanged at the beginning of 2019

The adjustment of the interest rate takes place twice a year, specifically on January 1st and July 1st. For six years, the base rate has shown a negative value.
