Dear customers, we know and understand that many of you are concerned about the spread of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and the resulting disease COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019). For this reason, we would like to explain the measures we are taking as real estate agents to be best prepared for a potential spread of the coronavirus and thus help slow down its spread. We adhere to the following rules regarding the corona pandemic.

Preventive measures against the coronavirus

Regular and intensive hand washing, especially after outside appointments and returning to the office.
Avoiding physical contact during greetings, in particular refraining from shaking hands.
Sneezing or coughing should be done into a paper tissue, which is then thrown away. If a tissue is not at hand, sneezing or coughing into the crook of the arm is recommended.
Basically, an increased distance from other people should be maintained compared to normal situations.

As we are following the recommendations of the Federal Government with these guidelines, we hope for your understanding.

What further measures is Rogers Immobilien taking?

Inspection. Regarding the current spread of the coronavirus, we have decided to provide disinfectants, disposable face masks, tissues, disposable gloves, and shoe covers for inspections on short notice.

We do not organize mass viewings, but instead schedule individual appointments only. Furthermore, we strictly adhere to the recommendations of the Federal Ministry of Health, the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the Federal Centre for Health Education, and the Robert Koch Institute.

Here, among other things, the excessive use of disinfectants is explicitly discouraged, as the associated disadvantages outweigh the benefits. In addition, it is important to keep the correct intended use in mind when using disinfectants. Unfortunately, most disinfectants are only effective against bacteria. However, the coronavirus is a type of virus and not bacterial. The recommendation of the aforementioned agencies is to wash hands for a sufficiently long time and to avoid physical contact as much as possible (e.g., shaking hands as a greeting). We also recommend minimizing the number of people present on-site at the same time and meetings in our office.

For all the properties we broker as real estate agents, we use modern 360-degree online viewing technology. This is free of charge for our clients and has the major advantage that interested parties can take a detailed look at the property online in advance. This reduces on-site viewings to a minimum. Should you be unable to attend an in-person meeting, we are happy to provide a video conference. Please contact us for further information regarding this.

Please understand that we will receive you and your visitors without physical contact, meaning with a wave instead of a handshake, and we recommend that you also apply these practices with your employees and visitors.

Procedure for confirmed coronavirus cases

Of course, our office remains open as usual. However, we would like to point out that, in the event of a confirmed case, we are required to follow the instructions of the local authorities. If you or anyone accompanying you has been in contact with a confirmed coronavirus patient, please take the following steps:

Please inform our local team immediately.
Ensure that this person is in self-isolation and following the instructions of local health authorities. In any case, make sure that this person is prohibited from entering the office.
