Apply for a free Schufa credit report

If you want to rent a property, you generally need a Schufa credit report to prove to the landlord that your financial situation is in order. According to Section 34 of the Federal Data Protection Act, everyone has the opportunity to request a Schufa report once a year free of charge. This gives every consumer the opportunity to find out what information is stored about them at Schufa.

You can order the free Schufa credit report at the following link:
1. Link to the free Schufa credit report form select (Data overview pursuant to Section 34 of the Federal Data Protection Act).
2. Select the corresponding national flag for the language and the PDF form will open in a new window.
Do not check the box „Alternatively: Order credit report 24.95 (incl. 19 % VAT)“ on the form for the free version.

Regardless of whether your landlord requires a Schufa credit report from you, it is recommended to make use of the free report. If incorrect data is stored regarding you, you have the right to have it corrected.
